It is important that wheels and tires are aligned. If they are not, you could be damaging your tires and affect the vehicle’s handling characteristics. If the suspension is out of alignment, there is uneven pressure on the tires that can cause your car to
work harder on the tires than it needs to.

Neglecting proper alignment will cause UNEVEN PRESSURE which could be DAMAGING, AFFECT THE HANDLING CHARACTERISTICS of your vehicle and cause it to WORK HARDER on the tires THAN IT NEEDS TO.

The same goes for life.

Many of my coaching clients discovered this undeniable truth.

The diagnostics of a life with poor alignment often includes one or more of the following  signs:

  • FEELING UNSETTLED FOR NO SPECIFIC REASON WITH UNDERLYING ANXIETY. So often we chase opportunities, people and things in a pursuit of happiness. This rarely results in a deep-seated feeling of being “settled”. Happiness is an ever changing state that prescribes a locked-in picture of how life should be to be able to attain it. To the contrary, a meaningful life aligns with a specific internal design. Something in us settles through a process of discovery and conversation as we get a better understanding of what is really of importance (our core values) and then align with the values irrespective of our external circumstances.
  • LACK OF VITALITY AND ENERGY – FEELING BONE TIRED AND EXHAUSTED EVEN AFTER WAKING UP IN THE MORNING. We end up with Tired Soul Syndrome. We lose ourselves – feeling flat, disconnected, joyless, empty and tired. We turn to things to alleviate the empty voids – food, sugar, social media, alcohol, shopping, extreme exercise, toxic relationships and the list goes on. Regardless of what you think your soul is craving for at the moment, in order to feel truly satisfied, well fed and nourished, it will never be found in these above mentioned places.
  • INNER DISCOMFORT ABOUT CHOICES. Ever had that feeling that something is not quite right but you can’t put your finger on it? Don’t question yourself. Your inner wisdom (we all have a God-given inner compass) is trying to bring something to your attention. It is very often an alignment issue. The job that you have been offered but something feels off, is probably not the right job for you. That person you’ve just met, that potential client or even coach but something feels a little bit strange… probably an alignment issue and not suitable for you.
  • A STRONG URGE TO WALK OUT. I heard many accounts of people who sat in a similar scenario as the following: Sitting in an office pressured by deadlines, with a complaining spouse on line one and an opened email from the school reporting on a misbehaving child with only one thought in mind – a very strong urge to simply walk out. Walk out of the job, marriage or relationship and all the responsibilities. I know this sounds dramatic but sometimes our reality does involve too many moving parts especially for those that are out of alignment.

A lack of alignment is like a ship without an anchor who fears the currents of the ocean it was made to exist in. The whispers, only heard by those who are curious and willing to listen, will offer accurate alignment. Without the stories we tell ourselves. Without the excuses we are hiding behind. Without the fear. Alignment feels good. It has a sense of ease about it.

A life lived in alignment offers a smoother ride because it evens out the pressure, prevent unnecessary and costly damage. When the journey finally comes to an end, it enables us to say:

It might have been hard from time to time but it was WORTH THE RIDE because I lived A MEANINGFUL LIFE ALIGNED WITH WHO I WAS CREATED TO BE.
